Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team at Metcalfe Street Dental. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities- Initial Assessments: Conduct thorough initial dental assessments to identify patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Consultations: Collaborate with dentists to discuss patient care and develop effective treatment strategies.
- Dental Impressions: Take accurate dental impressions to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Oral Hygiene Instruction: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques to promote healthy teeth and gums.
- Gum Disease Prevention: Clean and stimulate gums to prevent gum disease and promote overall oral health.
- Fluoride Treatment: Apply fluoride treatment to prevent tooth decay and strengthen tooth enamel.
- Teeth Cleaning: Remove stains and deposits from teeth to improve appearance and overall oral health.
- X-Ray Analysis: Take, develop, and mount X-rays to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Disease Diagnosis: Diagnose the type and severity of diseases and develop effective treatment plans.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records to ensure seamless care.
- Infection Control: Ensure a safe and infection-free environment for patients and staff.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide guidance on maintaining good oral health.
- Procedure Recording: Record dental procedures performed on patients to ensure accurate billing and record-keeping.
- Intra-Oral Duties: Perform intra-oral duties as required to provide exceptional patient care.
- Dental Hygienists Licensure: Hold licensure by the appropriate provincial or territorial governing body.
- Experience: Possess 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a dental hygiene role.
