Position Overview

Retail Merchandising Team Supervisor

SAS Retail Services Canada is seeking a dedicated Retail Merchandising Team Supervisor for part-time opportunities focused on grocery relines and resets execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute resets and relines by interpreting and implementing planograms with all items accurately tagged.
  • Responsible for tagging, rotating, and positioning products on shelves, including adjusting shelf heights as necessary.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with SAS Retail Services Management, Store Management, and assigned merchandisers.
  • Ensure timely electronic reporting of reset execution and recorded work hours.

Are You the Right Fit?

  • Must have reliable transportation to various local locations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours) and lift weights exceeding 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable utilizing smartphone technology for reporting and communication.
  • Previous experience in grocery or big box retail merchandising is preferred.
  • Familiarity with planograms is a plus; training will be provided.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively with other merchandising staff.

SAS Retail Services Canada operates as a third-party retail merchandising company utilizing advanced technology to provide merchandising solutions across various retail environments. Our parent company is Advantage Solutions Canada (ASM).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Retail Merchandising Team Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that ASM manufacturer's products are effectively merchandised and reset at retail accounts to meet both customer and client expectations.

Core Duties Include:

  • Reset Activities, Shelf Condition Management, and Completion of Schematics: Implement customer-approved schematics and planograms with all items properly tagged and approved by store management.
  • Customer Relations: Exhibit effective communication skills both internally with Advantage Solutions management and externally with customers.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete accurate and timely reporting through web-based platforms, including recaps, timesheets, and expense reports.

Travel Requirements:

This role requires travel and driving, with an estimated travel commitment of up to 20%.

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience, with a background in retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or merchandising at retail accounts preferred. A minimum of 0-2 years of experience in retail merchandising or sales is required.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Previous retail experience is essential.
  • Strong self-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform daily tasks and responsibilities independently.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and respect for others.
  • Focused on the general reset of CPG products across various retail locations.

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

This position involves considerable physical activity, including the ability to lift and/or push up to 35 kg, stand for long periods, and may require working in cold environments (e.g., refrigerated sections). Travel and driving are essential components of this role.
