About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Benefits and Pension Plan Officer to join our team at Bilsland Griffith Benefit Administrators. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our benefits and pension plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Data Management
    • Store, update, and retrieve financial data with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Perform data entry and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Prepare and process benefit claims, including pension benefits and insurance policies.
    • Calculate premiums, contributions, and benefits for insurance policies.
  • Document Management
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits and pension plans.
    • Prepare and submit documentation for administration of benefits, including pension plans and leaves.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Compile statistics and reports on benefits and pension plan activity.
    • Provide data and insights to support business decisions.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Windows.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 hours per week in a general office setting. The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
