About the Role
As a key member of our team at FortisBC, you will play a critical role in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of our natural gas infrastructure in the Metro Vancouver region. Your expertise in construction and natural gas infrastructure will be invaluable in ensuring the integrity of our assets and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of safety and respect among team members.
- Manage and dispatch work effectively, ensuring timely completion of deliverables within budget.
- Champion our safety culture, identifying and mitigating potential hazards to safeguard against accidents and injuries.
- Develop and implement process improvements, leveraging your knowledge of resource and administrative budgets to drive operational excellence.
- Mentor and coach employees, providing ongoing training and development to support performance and quality of work.
Requirements
- Five years of management experience with a focus on natural gas infrastructure, with a post-secondary diploma considered an asset.
- Previous experience in construction, underground utilities, and emergency response is an asset.
- A passion for developing quality solutions with a safety-focused mindset.
- A collaborative and inclusive approach to strengthening connections in the workplace.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word and Excel.
