Tucows Inc. is on a mission to transform the concept of an in-house creative agency and is seeking a talented visual communication specialist. As a key contributor within our marketing division, your main focus will be on producing engaging visual content that bolsters our marketing initiatives within the Domains Services sector. This role encompasses the creation of digital graphics, email campaigns, newsletters, display advertisements, social media content, video productions, and promotional materials that connect with our audience and strengthen our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and enhance our brands' visual identity, which includes logos, logo applications, color schemes, typography, illustrations, and iconography.
- Innovate, design, and improve marketing campaigns and assets, as well as digital and social media content.
- Develop compelling proposals (RFPs) to attract new business and create presentation materials for executive leadership.
- Design promotional items and event materials, such as banners, booth displays, and conference signage.
- Produce video content, including highlight reels, promotional videos, tutorials, and instructional demos.
- Maintain and refine our brand guidelines and internal resources, ensuring accessibility to brand assets for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to drive brand development and marketing strategies.
- Act as a strategic partner with marketing, ensuring cohesive integration of design and marketing efforts.
- Effectively articulate and present design concepts and ideas to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Possess knowledge of print and digital design standards and specifications, managing print files and coordinating with external vendors.
- Create inclusive designs that adhere to W3C and AODA standards.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in graphic or visual design within an advertising agency or an internal design team.
- A certificate, degree, or diploma in graphic design or a related discipline.
- A portfolio showcasing your design expertise and creative thinking.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and a solid grasp of fundamental graphic design principles, including typography, layout, color theory, photography, and iconography.
- Experience in video production, including basic animation, motion graphics, storyboarding, and prototyping.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, After Effects, and similar design tools.
- Able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
