Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the vision and long-term strategy for the electrical department.
  • Oversee business development initiatives, identifying local market opportunities and supporting proposal efforts.
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering an environment of growth and development.
  • Ensure the successful execution of design projects, managing resources, workload distribution, and financial oversight.
  • Provide technical leadership to the team, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Actively participate in industry events and conferences, contributing to presentations as needed.
  • Manage recruitment, performance evaluations, and team dynamics within the department.
Candidate Profile
  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical project engineering within the building services sector.
  • Proven leadership capabilities with experience in team management.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively with a national team.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of provincial building codes, Canadian Electrical Code, and relevant standards.
  • Excellent business development acumen with experience in proposal writing.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Exceptional judgment and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
