About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cutter Operator to join our team at Division 2 Contracting Ltd. As a Cutter Operator, you will be responsible for operating various machines and equipment to cut and process stone and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Blade or Wire Saws: Cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions with precision and accuracy.
  • Set Up and Operate Machines: Mix ingredients, extrude tempered clay mixture, and cut extruded clay into sections using automatic machines.
  • Adjust and Operate Single-Function Machines: Mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete to specifications using single-function machines.
  • Check Products for Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Move Products: Use forklifts, cranes, or hydraulic hoists to move products safely and efficiently.
  • Operate Mechanical or Hydraulic Rams and Hot-Presses: Form pottery and porcelain ware using mechanical or hydraulic rams and hot-presses.
  • Perform Ongoing Machine Adjustments: Regularly adjust and maintain machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Drill Holes in Blocks or Slabs: Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
Work Environment
  • Weight Handling: Lift and move heavy objects up to 23 kg (50 lbs) with ease.
  • Screening Questions: Answer questions about your ability to work in Canada, willingness to relocate, and previous experience in the field.
