About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations, or disabilities.

The successful candidate will provide physiotherapy services in outpatient, inpatient, and community settings, educating and communicating with other health disciplines, the general public, family members, and caregivers. You will also provide supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of assistants.

We are looking for a Physiotherapist who possesses excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.

About You

We are seeking a Physiotherapist who has:

  • A Bachelor's degree or entry-level master's program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
  • Annual Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation certification (BCLS)
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
  • Long Assignment Full-time / 100% FTE / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Approximately one year and six months
Compensation and Incentives

$42.89 hourly

Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
