About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Island Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work closely with members of our healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Patient Assessment and Care: Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their respiratory needs and develop individualized care plans to address these needs.
  • Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients and their families to help them manage their respiratory conditions and improve their overall health and well-being.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in respiratory therapy and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Certifications: Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T. and CPR Certificate.
