About the Role:
We are seeking skilled and passionate individuals to join our team as Continuous Instructors, Crane. As a key member of our faculty, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education and training to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver curriculum for Crane and Hoist Equipment Operator programs
- Prepare and present learning outcomes and activities in a classroom, laboratory, and industry setting
- Participate in curriculum development, program reviews, and course reviews
- Facilitate the learning process by utilizing instructional strategies that ensure efficient and effective delivery of course materials
- Manage instructional delivery and set the tone and climate for a safe and effective learning environment
- Create assessment tools to evaluate the learning process and maintain progress records
- Provide early and on-going coaching and tutoring for students to maximize student success and retention
- Respond to student issues
- Utilize appropriate educational technology for presentations, communications, and program promotions
- Maintain professional and ethical relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners
- Actively participate in the strategies of NAIT's Strategic Plan and NAIT's Academic Plan as identified by the institute
- Utilize regular student feedback to identify and implement instructional improvement
- Improve the quality of instruction through professional development activities
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Completion of Crane and Hoist Equipment Operator Alberta Journeyperson certificate or provincial equivalent required, including Inter-Provincial Red Seal an asset
- Minimum 5 years recent industry experience after completion of Journeyperson ticket preferred
- Teaching experience an asset
