Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality veterinary care to companion animals, including diagnosing and treating medical conditions, performing surgeries, and advising clients on animal care and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals through physical examinations and laboratory tests
  • Perform surgeries and other medical procedures as needed
  • Advise clients on animal care and well-being, including nutrition, behavior, and hygiene
  • Supervise and train veterinary staff, including veterinary technicians and assistants
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary medical knowledge and techniques
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary program
  • Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the province or territory
  • Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
