About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at The Good Samaritan Society. As a Kitchen Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing excellent service to our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
  • Support the kitchen team in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Participate in cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, and storage areas.
  • Help with waste disposal and recycling.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
