Paladin Security is seeking a skilled and dedicated On-Call Healthcare Security Guard to contribute to the safety and well-being of patients and staff at various health facilities across the province.
About the Role:- Monitor patient safety reports and changes to Protective Services and/or Clinical staff to ensure a secure environment.
- Report incidents as per site regulations, maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Respond to alarms and emergency calls for assistance, utilizing effective communication skills to de-escalate high-stress situations.
- Enforce safety codes, regulations, and procedures to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
- Handle confidential information with discretion, maintaining the trust and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Communicate site activities using two-way radio and computer application, ensuring seamless coordination with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Screen visitors and clients in a professional manner, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Respond to and de-escalate high-stress situations, utilizing effective conflict resolution skills to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
- Ensure the safety of all stakeholders, including patients, staff, and visitors, through proactive monitoring and response to potential security threats.
- Log and report incidents, maintaining accurate and detailed records of security-related events.
- Maintain detailed logs of patient interactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining confidentiality.
- Availability for various shifts, including overnight shifts and weekends, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Ability to travel throughout assigned zone to rural sites, utilizing a reliable vehicle and maintaining a valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain Alberta Security License, adhering to regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Valid class 5 license and own vehicle, ensuring reliable transportation to and from work assignments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain site logs, ensuring accurate and detailed records of security-related events.
- Ability to make decisions in emergency situations, utilizing sound judgment and critical thinking skills to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Discretion when handling confidential information, maintaining the trust and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Ability to perform under pressure and in adversity, maintaining a high level of professionalism and composure in challenging situations.
- Ability to walk 18-20 km and climb stairs, ensuring physical fitness and mobility to perform job duties.
