Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Facility Operations Engineer to enhance our Operations Engineering Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical support for Operations and Maintenance, manage maintenance projects, and engage in optimization and troubleshooting activities at various facilities.
- Develop and propose project scopes aimed at enhancing reliability, safety, environmental performance, efficiency, and net revenue.
- Provide engineering assistance to maximize benefits from process or operational changes while ensuring safety and operability.
- Offer technical support to resolve issues and optimize operations across multiple facilities, delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Lead or assist in projects related to plant piping, rotating equipment, storage, pipelines, and loading operations, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers on large expansion projects to support design, construction, and start-up activities.
- Ensure adherence to standards and regulatory requirements for project activities, managing licenses, upgrades, and HSE projects.
- Conduct economic analyses of projects, identifying key business drivers that generate value.
- Participate in Process Safety evaluations and analyses of facility assets and new projects.
- Perform detailed performance tests on facilities and equipment, analyzing results for improvement.
- Engage in incident investigations and emergency response drills as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering is preferred, along with a Registered Professional Engineer designation.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in facility, operations, or project roles within the oil and gas sector.
- Familiarity with industry codes and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of project management processes.
- Relevant safety certifications are advantageous.
- Permanent residency within commuting distance of the designated facility is required.
- A valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary.
- Compliance with the Company's drug and alcohol policy, including pre-employment testing, is mandatory.
Work Environment: This position may require travel to various field office locations using a company vehicle.
