About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Kids and Company. As a Child Development Specialist, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing engaging child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Create and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and learning.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead activities, tell stories, teach songs, and take children on educational outings to local points of interest, promoting creativity and exploration.
  • Child Development Support: Encourage children to express themselves through various forms of art, music, and physical activity, while guiding them in developing essential life skills such as eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children for signs of potential learning or behavioral issues and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with licensing regulations and ensure that our childcare services meet the highest standards.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and community service providers, working together to provide exceptional care and support for children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Certifications and Education: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, combination of sitting, standing, and walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, reliability, team player, values and ethics.
Work Environment

This is a permanent position with a 40-hour workweek, requiring a strong commitment to providing exceptional care and support for children. The work language is English.
