Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Our Hamlet Childcare. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children to learn and grow.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in planning and implementing programs that promote children's cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Order supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring a well-stocked and organized environment.
  • Assist in keeping records and submitting written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Engage children in activities, such as storytelling, singing, and crafts, to promote learning and development.
  • Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
Requirements:
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) certification.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Basic security clearance and a criminal record check.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to multitask.
