About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Designer/Drafter to join our team at Type One Energy, a mission-driven company dedicated to providing sustainable and affordable fusion power to the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop computer-aided models for our Project Infinity, a medium-scale stellarator that will demonstrate the performance of a highly optimized stellarator magnetic field configuration.
  • Collaborate with our team to resolve conflicts and develop accurate CAD models based on given specifications.
  • Convert CAD models into technical drawings for fabrication, ensuring accurate and concise callouts for fabrication specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of design-related experience or 10 years of design experience.
  • Proficiency in commercial CAD software, including Creo or Siemens NX.
  • Experience with design of fusion energy systems and equipment is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, including verbal presentation and writing skills.
