About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment as a Service Worker I at Alberta Health Services. As a critical member of the Endoscopy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe care of endoscopy patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients and equipment to and from different patient care areas within the hospital site.
- Distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units.
- Clean equipment and patient care areas as directed.
- Transport lab specimens, blood, and blood products, and patient charts.
- Report any concerns regarding supplies and safety issues to Unit Managers.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Ability to work with the physical demands of the job, including lifting 30 lbs, working with items overhead, and below knees in a fast-paced environment.
- Independent time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle supply procurement.
- Ability to maintain the integrity of supplies within the department by organizing, labeling, and rotation of supply.
