The AWS Identity organization at Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our team in building innovative cloud-based identity and access management services.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Implement Scalable Systems: Collaborate with talented engineers to create and deploy highly scalable distributed systems and services that meet the needs of our customers.
- Problem-Solving and Architecture: Decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions while understanding system interdependencies and limitations.
- Knowledge Sharing and Code Quality: Share knowledge of effective performance, scalability, architecture, and engineering patterns and methods. Create clear, maintainable, well-documented code that meets coding standards and best practices.
- Collaboration and Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, source control management, build processes, release management, and operations. Work closely across teams and disciplines to deliver high-quality products and services.
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Design and Architecture Experience: 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- Programming Skills: Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Full Software Development Life Cycle Experience: 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Cloud Services Experience: Experience building large-scale distributed systems and cloud services.
