Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks, including preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable, and investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Account Management: Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and journals.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Assist with payroll processing, including preparing paycheques and benefits statements.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including GST and PST.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and spreadsheet software.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral communication, organized, reliable, team player, ability to multitask, quick learner, and resourceful.
