About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Assistant to join our team at Clean Crysta Services Inc. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and common areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse, and empty trash cans and other waste containers.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Minor Repairs: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Appliance Maintenance: Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Customer Service: Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants and provide excellent customer service.
  • Additional Tasks: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair, water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Winter Maintenance: Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our buildings.
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment with 35 to 40 hours per week.
  • Fluency in English as the primary language of communication.
