Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a variety of transformer assessments, including ratio, resistance, insulation, and additional tests as necessary.
- Conduct final evaluations to verify transformer functionality in accordance with established standards.
- Document test outcomes, compile comprehensive reports, and maintain an updated inventory of transformers.
- Perform pre-inspections on reassembled transformers to guarantee quality and accuracy.
- Offer technical assistance and direction to team members on related matters.
- Carry out preliminary testing on incoming transformers and record observations accordingly.
- Create new nameplate designs for refurbished transformers and support the upkeep of production equipment.
- Manage and document Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and warranty-related issues.
- Monitor environmental factors such as humidity and temperature, collect oil samples, and ensure proper equipment calibration.
- Educate staff on best practices, mentor them on technical challenges, and ensure timely and standard-compliant completion of tasks.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in transformer testing and repair (preferred).
- Strong comprehension of electrical schematics.
- Proficient in English, with strong speaking, reading, and comprehension skills.
Physical Demands:
- Capable of lifting approximately 60 lbs.
- Able to stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work at heights when necessary.
- Exhibits a steady, patient, and diligent work pace.
