Position Overview:

The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the financial planning and analysis division by executing a variety of assessments related to budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance to aid in the company's strategic decision-making.

  • Engage in the formulation of the annual budget and quarterly financial statements for the organization.
  • Regularly update the financial forecasting model on a monthly basis.
  • Conduct analysis on the profitability of newly launched stores.
  • Assist in the compilation of various routine operational reports.
  • Design, modify, and/or enhance management reports pertaining to budgets, forecasts, or operational metrics.
  • Execute diverse analyses of financial and operational outcomes.
  • Support various data and analytical requests for the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) department.
  • Develop and sustain profitability models and analyses.

Position Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with at least 3 years of relevant experience in a comparable position (experience in the retail industry is advantageous).
  • Possession of a professional designation (CPA, CFA) or actively pursuing such a designation is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in financial modeling.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and exceptional aptitude for numerical analysis.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and requests under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (including pivots, formulas, charts, and tables).
  • Familiarity with SAP and BW is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
