Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead Security Program Development

Lead the establishment and implementation of comprehensive security programs by providing detailed guidance, consultation, and advice on security controls, policies, and standards.

Cyber Security Design and Assessment

Develop and implement operational policies, strategies, and procedures for security programs, including conducting cyber security design reviews of architecture documentation and cyber security assessments against security standards, applicable policies, and industry best practices.

Communication and Awareness

Develop communication materials and protocols to ensure prompt collection and dissemination of cyber security information, advice, and conduct of security awareness and education.

Project Leadership

Provide leadership to project teams in mission-critical cyber security risk assessments and business continuity planning.

Research and Reporting

Prepare research, evaluation, and statistical reports for client management and cyber security.

Requirements

  1. Strong Communication Skills

Strong written and oral communication skills to prepare and present reports, business cases, submissions, project plans, status reports, and operational policies.

Consultation and Presentation

Ability to consult with internal staff and stakeholders on security practices and program options.

Persuasion and Negotiation

Persuasion and negotiation skills to elicit support from multiple levels of the organization for new initiatives.

Incident Management

Capability to evaluate incident management scenarios, operational policy requirements, identify options, and make recommendations on security matters.

Security Reviews and Risk Management

Experience in conducting security reviews, providing risk assessments, and managing risks within program budgets.

Assessment and Review

Adept at assessing differing security needs and business requirements, and conducting reviews.
