Job Summary

Western Pacific Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of professionalism in customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Logistics and Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise during transportation.
Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver, preferably in long-haul transportation.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong attention to detail.
Working Conditions

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be required to work varying shifts, including overtime, and be willing to travel for extended periods, including overnight stays. You must also be willing to drive manual transmission vehicles and possess a valid driver's license.
