We are seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team at Bruno's Contracting (Thunder Bay) Limited. As a leading heavy civil construction group, we have over forty years of experience in heavy civil construction, road building, asphalt paving, materials production, and demolition.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating our asphalt plant to produce various asphalt mixes, ensuring that all plant controls are within the operating range. This will involve performing and recording routine maintenance on the asphalt plant and associated equipment, as well as documenting production quantities, material inventories, and other daily reports as necessary.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating the asphalt plant to produce high-quality asphalt mixes
  • Monitoring and maintaining plant controls to ensure optimal performance
  • Performing routine maintenance on the asphalt plant and associated equipment
  • Documenting production quantities, material inventories, and other daily reports
  • Other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the asphalt plant

Requirements for the role include:

  • Moderate computer skills to operate plant software
  • A mechanically inclined individual with the ability to weld and perform other fabrications
  • Physically fit individual with the ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions
  • Previous experience with asphalt plants, crushing plants, and heavy equipment is preferred
