Job Summary

The Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services team. As a Medical Radiation Technologist, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality radiological examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce all required radiological examinations according to prescribed standards, utilizing general radiography, mobile radiography, gastric studies, mobile fluoroscopy, urology, and O.R. equipment.
  • Perform tasks such as selecting and preparing contrast media, producing high-quality images, and utilizing protective radiation safeguards.
  • Document all appropriate information in the radiology information system and uphold all policies and procedures of the department and organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology.
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario.
  • Proficiency in digitized radiography equipment.
  • Recent relevant experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, RIS, and PACS.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Meet physical demands of position, including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstanding constant standing and/or walking.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Current certification in BCLS.
  • Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety.
