- Education: Completion of a college program or a non-university diploma lasting 1 to 2 years
- Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a related field

- Custom furniture workshop
- Manufacturing of furniture
- Furniture restoration shop
- Commercial projects
- Utilize woodworking machinery, including power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to accurately cut and shape materials
- Develop specifications for custom-designed furniture that optimizes storage solutions
- Refine surfaces or edges of wood pieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or files
- Interpret plans, specifications, or drawings for the creation of furniture
- Assemble components and ensure proper fitting of parts
- Sand surfaces and apply finishes such as veneer, stain, or polish to completed items
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace
- Oversee and guide junior workers
- Repair or redesign wooden furniture and related items
- First Aid Certification
- WHMIS Certification
- Cabinetry
- Kitchen cabinetry and vanities
- Criminal record check required
- Personal transportation is necessary
- Valid driver's license required
- Fast-paced work environment
- Manual dexterity is essential
- Attention to detail is crucial
- Ability to stand for extended periods
