Total Safety is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Attendant to join our team. As a Safety Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for our employees and clients. This is a critical role that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in safety management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. safety, engineering, environmental science) preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Valid government-issued ID and Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Completion of H2S Alive, Standard First Aid Level C, and CSO training required.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in extreme weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions

This role requires frequent travel to industrial sites and remote locations. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols.
