Job Title: Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Technician

Dawson International Truck Centres is seeking a skilled Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our team. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our customers' fleets, ensuring they operate with excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts
  • Maintain current and accurate vehicle records by documenting all services and repairs
  • Ensure equipment is available for use by completing preventive maintenance
  • Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems
  • Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives and confirming repair completion before releasing unit to the customer

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2nd year apprentice in Heavy Duty
  • Red Seal Certified
  • Strong electrical diagnostic skills
  • Class 1 or 3 driver's license is an asset
  • Air brake experience is an asset
  • First aid experience is an asset
