We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at BLUE BIRD CUSTOM DESIGN LTD. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed layouts and plans in accordance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
- Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
- Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor conditions.
Requirements- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 3-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Excellent physical stamina, with ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Client-focused approach, with strong communication skills.
- Sound judgement and decision-making abilities.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability.
The successful candidate will work a standard 30-40 hour week, with opportunities for overtime as needed.
