About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at BLUE BIRD CUSTOM DESIGN LTD. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed layouts and plans in accordance with building codes and regulations.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and outdoor conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Excellent physical stamina, with ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking positions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
