About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Sidhu Pro Construction Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Prepare layouts and use measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision in construction.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Supervise and lead other workers to ensure efficient and safe working practices.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking required throughout the day. The role will be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift heavy materials and work at heights.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
