Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer and Helper to join our team at Canada Abatement Services. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various construction tasks, ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in Construction Tasks: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, perform pre-operational inspections, and read blueprints to determine work requirements.
  • Erect and Dismantle Structures: Assemble tower cranes, erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix and Apply Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt, and pave and rake asphalt.
  • Assist in Demolition and Cleaning: Assist in demolishing buildings, clean and pile salvaged materials, and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Support: Perform routine maintenance work and tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction.
Work Environment

This is a casual work term position, with a typical work week of 30 to 40 hours. The work language is English, and the work environment is on the road.
