CAD Technician for Civil Engineering Projects

WSP Canada is seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our Civil Engineering team. This position involves engaging in data gathering and the design of civil engineering projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create detailed drawings, plans, and diagrams utilizing CAD/DAO software based on sketches, engineering calculations, and project specifications.
- Ensure adherence to production standards and drawing methodologies, confirming alignment with original specifications.
- Conduct routine calculations for estimating material quantities.
- Occasionally visit project sites to collect data for comprehensive plans and clarify project components based on the information received.
- Maintain and manage all documentation produced throughout the project lifecycle.
- Participate in design team meetings to collaborate on project development.
REQUIREMENTS
- A diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in design and drafting.
- Experience in consulting engineering is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Familiarity with InRoads, MicroStation, and Civil 3D is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
