Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated automotive technicians who are currently registered as apprentices in Ontario. This role requires the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively with colleagues when necessary. Our full-service facility offers a supportive environment for skill enhancement and professional growth, making it an ideal place for those aspiring to become licensed technicians.
Key Responsibilities
As an automotive technician at Midas, you will be responsible for a variety of diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks, including but not limited to:
- Tire installation and repair
- Battery services, including starting and charging systems
- Oil change services
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- The ability to perform vehicle repairs independently, complemented by teamwork experience
- Knowledge of automotive systems including brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires, and engine diagnostics
- Understanding of safety and environmental regulations applicable to repair facilities
- Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
- A Provincial Certificate of Qualification
- A valid driver's license
- The capability to service both domestic and import vehicles
Compensation
The hourly wage for this position is $25.00.
