Pharmacy Technical Assistant Job Description

Shoppers Drug Mart 614 is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technical Assistant to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compound and Package Medications: Assist pharmacists in compounding and packaging medications, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records, ensuring timely restocking and minimizing waste.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative tasks, such as processing claims, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in MS Office and Kroll Software.
