Job Title: Kindergarten Teacher

Job Summary:

The Nelson Waldorf School is seeking a qualified Kindergarten teacher to join our team. As a Kindergarten teacher, you will be responsible for delivering the Waldorf curriculum to a class of up to 24 students, integrating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf education principles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Kindergarten curriculum, integrating BC Ministry requirements and Waldorf education principles
  • Report on students according to Faculty agreements and BC Ministry requirements
  • Abide by BC Independent School teacher conduct and competence standards
  • Lead class parent conferences
  • Reports to: Principal of School

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, full-time; $53,508.50 to $72,771.56 plus benefits (health, disability, life insurance and tuition) and increments for related experience.

Education and Skill Requirements:

  • BC Teacher Certification
  • Completed Waldorf Teacher Training with a clear understanding of Rudolf Steiner's education and philosophy will be preferred or willingness to take the Waldorf training
