About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Driller to join our team at Impala Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for drilling production blast holes using an ITH Long-Hole Drill. Your expertise in operating and maintaining this specialized equipment will be crucial to ensuring efficient and safe mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the ITH Long-Hole Drill, adhering to all safety protocols and company procedures.
- Prepare drilling faces according to established layouts and specifications.
- Drill blast holes with precision and accuracy, ensuring compliance with government regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with the crew and supervisor to achieve production targets and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on the drill rig and associated equipment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating ITH Long-Hole Drills in a mining setting.
- Strong understanding of drilling techniques, safety procedures, and industry best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
