As part of the Customer Accounts-Insurance Team, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be tasked with managing customer follow-ups to secure payment for outstanding invoices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversee the recovery of customer accounts related to insurance, adhering to established protocols and internal control measures;
  2. Evaluate accounts based on payment agreements and initiate recovery actions promptly;
  3. Conduct thorough analysis and reconciliation of customer accounts;
  4. Maintain up-to-date recovery notes within the company’s system;
  5. Document and escalate any disputed invoices;
  6. Coordinate with sales teams regarding overdue accounts;
  7. Make necessary adjustments and journal entries in accounts receivable;
  8. Process customer reimbursement requests and verify their legitimacy;
  9. Respond to customer inquiries via phone or email;
  10. Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers;
  11. Deliver exceptional customer service;
  12. Provide updates on the status of unresolved cases to the team leader;
  13. Follow up on various outstanding issues;
  14. Engage in process improvement initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. DEC in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  2. Three to five years of experience in collections.
  3. Fluency in English and French, both spoken and written.
  4. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  5. Results-driven mindset.
  6. Strong customer service orientation.
  7. Ability to analyze situations and prioritize tasks effectively.
  8. Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
  9. Exhibit professional integrity.
  10. Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail, and independence.
  11. Comfortable navigating various computer systems.
  12. Flexible availability for work hours, including potential remote work options.
