We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at Electricity Canada. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our data management practices, ensuring data quality and governance, and providing actionable insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data management practices to ensure data quality and governance
  • Design and create data visualizations using Power BI to support business decisions
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and present results in a clear and understandable manner
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to understand their data needs and provide support
  • Develop root cause analysis reports based on annual performance data for member discussion and corrective action
Requirements:
  • University/College Degree/Diploma and/or equivalent experience in a comparable field
  • Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills
  • Proficient in Power BI, including the ability to create complex dashboards and reports
  • Experience with SQL for data querying and manipulation
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data visualization techniques
  • Experience with data modeling and statistical analysis
  • Knowledge of data governance and quality assurance principles
  • Ability to work with large data sets and perform complex data analysis
What We Offer:

We provide our employees with a competitive compensation package commensurate with their education and professional experience. This is a 22-month full-time position to cover for maternity leave until Summer-2026. The successful candidate will work out of the downtown Ottawa office at least two days a week.
