Job Description

TV2 Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our team. As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java programming language.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality Java applications using Java Standard Edition (SE) and Java Enterprise Edition (EE)
  • Develop proficiency in frameworks such as Spring, JPA, and Struts to build comprehensive web and enterprise applications
  • Implement design patterns, object-oriented design principles, and multi-threading to ensure optimized application design and performance
  • Work with relational databases via JDBC or ORM tools like Hibernate and integrate RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools like Maven, Gradle, and Jenkins, along with proficiency in version control through Git
  • Knowledge of Java security best practices is essential
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure effective communication and problem-solving skills
Requirements
  • Deep expertise in Java programming language and associated tools and libraries
  • Knowledge in both Java Standard Edition (SE) and Java Enterprise Edition (EE)
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as Spring, JPA, and Struts
  • Mastery over design patterns, object-oriented design principles, and multi-threading
  • Experience with relational databases and RESTful API integration
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools and version control
  • Knowledge of Java security best practices
Benefits
  • 37.5 hours work week, Monday to Friday, onsite in Saint John, New Brunswick
  • Temporary Contractor position with possibility of extension
  • Hourly contract rate TBD depending on experience
