About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to join our team at Sparkleen Management Services. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, disinfect operating rooms and other areas, clean and disinfect elevators, handle and report lost and found items.
  • Light Housekeeping and Cleaning Duties: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, wash windows, walls and ceilings.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain a secure and safe environment, bondable, basic security clearance, criminal record check.
  • Transportation and Travel: Own transportation.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, overtime required.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs), up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs), up to 23 kg (50 lbs), up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
