Job Summary

Vancouver Whitecaps FC is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for utilizing statistical methods and data visualization techniques to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate statistical models to provide key business insights such as ticket sales forecasts
  • Prepare reports and dashboards using BI/visualization tools that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
  • Lead regularly scheduled insight meetings with department stakeholders to share findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with and gather critical information from other departmental stakeholders to anticipate data analysis requirements and recommend plus implement solutions
  • Monitor and maintain data quality and data hygiene across multiple platforms
  • Project management and analytics support of the Business Intelligence & CRM department strategy in support of the club's overarching business plan
  • Creating, optimizing and managing complex SQL queries and views
  • Creation and management of automated data export workflows
  • Design, programming and execution of fan surveys and data collection
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • 2-3 years of data analytics experience in a corporate setting is preferred
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Proficiency with Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Proficiency with building statistical models
  • Proficiency with SQL
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office suite and virtual meeting platforms (MS Teams, Zoom)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is an asset
  • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics) is an asset
  • Experience with survey programming is an asset
  • Ability to work non-standard work week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays
