Hydroelectric Power Plant Operator

Your Day-to-Day- Conduct regular monitoring and maintenance of hydroelectric power plants, documenting all activities.
- Optimize power plant output and production by carrying out necessary actions.
- Participate in the setup and monitoring of a Preventative Maintenance program for plants and facilities equipment.
- Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
- Troubleshoot and resolve alarms generated by hydroelectric power plants to minimize downtime.
- Manage and/or assist specialized contractors for maintenance and repairs.
- Participate in daily work planning and operations activities.
- Assist in managing overflow camp facilities for contractors and visitors.
- Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety standards and Innergex policies.
- Relevant training and experience, with Journeyman industrial Electrician experience preferred.
- BC driver's license in good standing and experience with 4-wheel drives and snowmobiles required.
- Experience with instrumentation, troubleshooting, and maintaining industrial, electrical, and electronic control systems an asset.
- Experience with hydro plant operations an asset.
- Must be a hands-on, self-starter with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable spending many consecutive days in the bush, at camp.
- Commitment to further education relevant to the role, with Innergex providing formal and in-house training.
- The position will be located at Toba.
- This position is an O3 level.
