This role will emphasize enhancing our customer account experience, fostering enduring connections with users throughout their car purchasing and ownership journey. You will harness the CARFAX brand alongside our unparalleled data to craft intuitive designs that deliver exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with product managers, user experience researchers, and developers to address both business and user challenges.
  • Develop a deep understanding of consumer needs through discovery activities and design sprints, including user research, competitive analysis, user task identification, journey mapping, process flows, and service blueprints.
  • Formulate UX strategies and champion best practices in user experience design.
  • Utilize market research, customer insights, site analytics, and usability studies to guide design choices and assess design effectiveness.
  • Create high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that harmonize aesthetics with usability across various devices.
  • Prototype design concepts to test ideas and solutions, effectively presenting designs to stakeholders while articulating design rationale.

Qualifications:
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to translate business objectives into innovative design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly while remaining adaptable as projects evolve.
  • A comprehensive understanding of how designs integrate within the CARFAX ecosystem.
  • A passion for utilizing user and business metrics to inform design decisions, comfortable with data while also navigating ambiguity.
  • Proficient in facilitation techniques and design sprint methodologies that foster clarity and alignment among teams.
  • Experience working within a design system, emphasizing consistency where feasible.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in design.
Basic Requirements:
  • 7-9+ years of experience in designing responsive web interfaces, ideally for consumer-facing products.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including interactive prototyping capabilities.
  • A degree, certification, or equivalent experience demonstrating expertise in User Experience.
  • An online portfolio showcasing your comprehensive design process.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
