Project Cost Management Opportunity

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen in a global manufacturing business with a hybrid working pattern.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Manager with experience in the Defense or similar sector business to join our team.

This role will accelerate your career, offering the opportunity to challenge and progress in a dynamic and growing business.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus bonus and excellent benefits.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with various functional organizations to ensure daily operations and strategies align with corporate policies and achieve financial business goals.
  • Prepare and provide status of program's financial performance to senior program and functional leadership.
  • Assist in the development of various cost proposals and negotiations.
  • Define financial reporting structures for both earned value management and revenue reporting in a manner that allows for effective cost control.
  • Provide financial leadership to various program reviews, including monthly Program Performance Reviews, Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs), and Estimate at Complete (EAC) updates.
  • Manage a small team of analysts.
  • Ensure program execution on cost and schedule, and partner with the Project Teams to ensure accurate reporting for the program.
  • Evaluate risks and opportunities, perform rate impact analysis, understand impacts of changes on program baselines and EACs, and report financial performance through quarterly Contract Status Reviews (CSR).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years' experience in Project Cost Management.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas and macros.
  • Systems experience, ideally including Cobra, Oracle, and other cost management tools.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) expertise.
  • High analytical abilities.
