We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team at The Works Crafted Burger and Beer. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning and Preparation: Plan and prepare menus, estimate food requirements, and requisition food and kitchen supplies.
- Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
- Food Safety and Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Hours: 30 hours per week.
