Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide the highest levels of customer service, both internally and externally, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience.
- Conflict Resolution: Resolve customer service concerns and escalate to the Shop Manager where appropriate.
- Needs Assessment: Determine customer needs including estimate, repair booking and transportation requirements.
- Efficiency: Proactively take steps to reduce customer effort.
- Communication: Interact with customers in a professional and approachable manner.
- Education: Educate customers about claims and repair process.
- Appointment Booking: Book estimate appointments over the phone when necessary.
- Walk-in Service: Provide prompt service to all walk-in customers.
- Damage Inspection: Inspect and review vehicles for damage for the purposes of providing an estimate.
- Estimate Preparation: Utilize Mitchell, Audatex and ALLDATA software to prepare estimates.
- Program Eligibility: Determine when a vehicle qualifies for the Craftsman Accelerated Production Program.
- Pre-wash and Mapping: Ensure vehicle pre-wash and mapping is complete as per The Craftsman Way.
- Final Bill Preparation: Prepare final bill for customer the day prior to vehicle pick-up as needed.
- Sales Opportunities: Identify and capitalize on opportunities for sales.
- Compliance: Work with the Shop Manager to ensure that operations are compliant with all provincial and national regulatory standards pertaining to health and safety, quality and employment standards.
- Internal Policies: Support compliance with internal policies, procedures and guidelines to promote their consistent application within the Company.
- File Closure: Contribute to the goal of closing all files within 24 hours of vehicle delivery.
- Company Standards: Support company standards in SPARKLE, safety and security.
- Brand Representation: Represent and promote the Craftsman Collision brand in a positive manner aligned with stated values in all dealings internal and external.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field preferred; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Software Skills: Experience in Mitchell Estimating, Audatex, ALLDATA an asset.
- Insurance Knowledge: Understanding of insurance policy and procedure.
- Lean Management: Basic knowledge of The Craftsman Way or lean management processes an asset.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written and listening skills.
- Diplomacy: A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Time Management: Demonstrated time management, problem solving, critical thinking and sound judgement skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with customer service-oriented attitude.
- Proactivity: Proactive, detailed and organized.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Outlook with the ability and willingness to learn new applications.
- Desire for Learning: Demonstrated desire and aptitude for learning and development.
- Driver's License: Must have a valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract over the last 3 years.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally entitled to work in Canada with no restrictions.
