About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Coating Specialist to join our team at Midwest Coatings. As an Industrial Coating Specialist, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Prepare Work Area: Ensure a safe and clean working environment by cleaning and organizing the work area, and maintaining inventory.
  • Apply Coatings: Apply protective and decorative coatings to metal products using hand-held spray guns and other equipment.
  • Check Coating Thickness: Use micrometers and other devices to check the thickness of coatings and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Prepare Metallizing Solutions: Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas and specifications.
  • Select Coatings: Select the appropriate paint or mix paints to achieve the desired coating.
  • Operate Equipment: Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for coating and spray or coat them.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate, Overhead Crane Certification, WHMIS Certificate, and CSTS Certificate are required.
  • Skills: Excellent oral communication, reliability, and team player skills are essential.
