Job Title: Structural Engineer

PTW Energy Services Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for providing in-house structural engineering, design, and detailing support for our pre-engineered and modular steel buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis and engineering design for assigned projects.
  • Review and approve detailed structural drawings issued for fabrication, shop, and field assembly purposes.
  • Perform code and technical reviews of all bid estimates and production drawings.
  • Provide analysis and design support for bid estimates and final detailed design.
  • Assist with structural quality inspections in the production plant and job sites.
  • Communicate and coordinate with sub-trades and internal project management, purchasing, and manufacturing departments.
Requirements:
  • Must be registered as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in good standing with APEGA.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in Canadian industrial and/or commercial structural steel design.
  • Strong background in all applicable National and Provincial building codes, and industry standards.
  • Experience using structural engineering software such as Graitec AD, or similar software.
  • Experience using AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.
